True Impact Arts Foundation

Youth Ballet and Tap Dance Classes in WVTrue Impact Arts Foundation is a non-profit organization that exists to provide continuing education opportunities for students by sponsoring scholarships to True Impact's programming (such as Community Summer Dance Intensive), hosting professional community dance workshops, bring guest teachers and choreographers to the area, and hosting our annual winter and spring story ballet productions.

The foundation was launched in the fall of 2016. Approaching its 5th year of operation, True Impact Arts Foundation has brought the world's leading professional Christian ballet company, Ballet Magnificat of Jackson, Mississippi, to the Huntington area in 2016 for a performance of their nationally recognized ballet, "Hiding Place" (a ballet based on the life of WWII holocaust survivor Corrie Ten Boom) and in 2020 for a performance of their acclaimed ballet, "The Prodigal's Journey."

The Foundation also hosted and sponsored True Impact's 5th annual winter story ballet production of "Christmas in Narnia" and our 1st annual spring story ballet, "The Wizard of Oz." During our 2019- 2020 season True Impact Arts Foundation produced a new story ballet, "The Elves and the Shoemaker," which was choreographed by Amy York, our founding director and Brian Murphy of Akron, OH. In 2020, True Impact will be producing its newest work, "Tiny Tim's Christmas Carol," based on Charles Dickens famed novel, A Christmas Carol.

Also being added to our holiday repertory will be a wonderful addition to our holiday show, "Season's Greetings", which will feature more contemporary holiday works. This production will provide area students an opportunity to participate in precision-style dancing/kickline in our Appalachian Belles, a precision dance team that is unique to our area.
